Video-Preamble of the 1987 Philippines constitutionConstitution Article 11:1 |
The Accountability of Public Officers

Section 1. Public office is a public trust. Public officers and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people, serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency; act with patriotism and justice, and lead modest lives.

Constitution Article 11:1 is part of the accountability that a public officer must perform to each and every person despite if they are an upper class, a lower class or even a government official themselves.

It says very clearly that “Public officers and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people,” and what follows that accountability is four points, followed by three other points, for the accountability to show.

The four points, followed by three other points will lead each officer to serve, each person, with:

  1. utmost responsibilityaccountability road sign illustration design over a white background
  2. integrity
  3. loyalty
  4. efficiency

Followed by acts of:

  1. patriotism
  2. justice
  3. lead by modest lives

I am certain that if the four pointers, followed by three pointers, is played out by the public officers, which at this time is not being playerd out, we will have more trust and honesty towards our government instead of feeling like we are being forced into something we very much might have an option to refuse.
