Section 1. Public office is a public trust. Public officers and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people, serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency; act with patriotism and justice, and lead modest lives.

Constitution Article 11:1, within the last article, we shared on one of the four points, followed by three other points, which was on on “Utmost Responsibility.”

In this article we are going to be sharing on the rest of the four points, followed by three other points that I hope to address quickly so I can form my conclusion in the next article.:

(1) utmost responsibility, (2) integrity, (3) loyalty and (4) efficiencySignpost "Accountability"

Followed by acts of:

(1) patriotism, (2) justice and (3) lead by modest lives

“Integrity and Loyalty explained” [1]

Integrity is “adherence to moral and ethical principles.” In a more simple terms, doing what is right.

Loyalty is the “faithfulness to commitments or obligations.”"Disquisitions on the 1987 Constitution of the Philippines" 2008 edition by Reynaldo B. Aralar

Efficiency

Efficiency is the “accomplishment of or ability to accomplish a job with a minimum expenditure of time and effort.”

The four points are than followed by three other points.

(1) patriotism, (2) justice and (3) lead by modest lives

  1. Patriotism is a person with “devoted love, support, and defense of one’s country.”
  2. Justice is showing “rightfulness or lawfulness” towards the actions they carry out in their position of office.
  3. Lead by modest lives to simple ask the officers to be “appropriate to their positions and income.”
